Burnham Deepdale

A little cluster of shops, a general store and garage.  There’s a Fat Face, the delicious Deepdale Cafe, Hanging Around in Norfolk – a great stop for souvenirs and presents for pet-sitters and grannys!  The Hare and Hen at No 11 houses the earthenware pottery of Phillippa Lee, as well as nice cards and a good selection of natural history books.  Also a good top shop here for little ones.

Burnham Market

Generally referred to as Norfolk’s very own Chelsea! Although it’s a real tourist destination in it’s own right, the village is very picturesque as long as you dodge the crowds.

There are good local shops, butchers, bakers, Gurneys fishmonger, tea rooms and gift shops.  Gurneys www.gurneysfishshop.co.uk is definitely worth a visit – they stock samphire in season, a local delicacy, its all that a local fishmonger should be.

Ruby and Tallulah, Church House, Overy Road, Burnham Market, PE31 8HH www.rubyandtallulah.co.uk is a brilliant little boutique stocking tempting brands like Golden Goose, Isabel Marant Etoile and small independent names.

Another well edited womenswear collection can be found at Anna www.shopatanna.com nearly next to Jack Wills alongside The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market.
